And, inducted into our school’s Distinguished Alumni Ring of Honor, Mr. Raymond Ban ’69 – founding member of The Weather Channel and retired executive vice president of programming, operations and meteorology

Our distinguished honorees are a diverse group of men, women and organizations connected by a common thread: they all practice Bishop Canevin’s mission of leading “a life anchored in faith, a life enriched by learning and a life enhanced through service to others.”

RING OF HONOR AWARD NOMINATION PROCESS AND CRITERIA

Alumni are invited to submit nominations for the award. BC has been blessed with many alumni, teachers and friends who live out Jesus’ call to service and compassion to benefit those in our school, community or world. Distinguished Educator Award Criteria:

  1. Recipient should be one who has taught at BC for a minimum of five years.
    2. Recipient should exemplify the Gospel values in his/her life and work.
    3. Recipient should be an actively practicing Catholic in good standing with the Catholic Church.
    4. Recipient should be one who has provided exemplary service in his/her life and/or profession that reflects BC’s core values, served the needs of students and/or families.
    5. The award may be given to deceased members of the Bishop Canevin community.

Distinguished Alumni Award Criteria:

  1. Recipient should be one who has attended BC for a minimum of two years and graduated in good standing.
    2. Recipient should exemplify the Gospel values in his/her life and work.
    3. Recipient should be an actively practicing Catholic in good standing with the Catholic Church.
    4. Recipient should be one who has provided exemplary service in his/her life and/or profession that reflects BC’s core values.
    5. Recipient should be one who has accomplished outstanding achievements in his/her personal and/or professional life.
    6. The award may be given to deceased members of the Bishop Canevin community.

Distinguished Friend/Supporter of BCHS Award Criteria:

  1. Recipient should be one who has provided a significant service to the school.
    2. Recipient should exemplify the Gospel values in his/her life and work.
    3. Recipient should be an actively practicing Catholic in good standing with the Catholic Church.
    4. Recipient should be one who has provided exemplary service in his/her life and/or profession that reflects BC’s core values, served the needs of students and/or families.
    5. The award may be given to deceased members of the Bishop Canevin community.
