Legacy Medical Centers, located in McMurray (Peters Township), is offering Shadow Days to students interested in pursuing a career Physical Therapy.  Students can shadow three different fields in one office or focus on just one field of their specific interest.  The staff includes a Physical Therapist, a Physical Therapy Assistant, 4 Chiropractors and a Sports Medicine/Pain Management doctor.  Shadowing can be done regularly over the course of a semester or summer/winter break.  Please contact Joel Antonucci, Director of Physical Therapy,  at 724.941.0707.


UPMC Sports Medicine program, Introduction to Athletic Training: An Interactive Workshop for High School Students, is a 2 day workshop on Tuesday, August 1st thru Wednesday, August 2nd at the Ellis School in Pittsburgh and is offered annually to high school students interested in a career in athletic raining or to enhance daily skills.  The early fee is $75 if paid by July 14th and $85 if paid after that date.  Contact Jesse Townsend at or call 412.432.3728 for a brochure or more information. 


College Camp 2017 will be held at Allegheny College and Albright College.  This FREE intensive three day/two night workshop is designed for 60 rising high school seniors and juniors.  Working with faculty mentors, you will learn all aspects of the college search and application process, experience life in the residence halls, financial aid and have lots of fun!  Email for an application and details.

For current 7-12th Grade Students:  On May 13, from 8:30 AM – 2:30 PM.  The cost is $5 per attendee, includes light breakfast, lunch and t-shirt for student. Students that attend are not required to bring a parent/adult. STEM Savvy is a one-day Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) career conference designed to develop the interest of students in STEM fields and provide information to their parents and educational professionals on STEM educational opportunities. Westminster Summer Splash Camp

Summer Science Splash Camp is a week-long residential camp—an immersion in scientific observations and experiments for middle-school students—on the campus of Westminster College in New Wilmington, PA. Campers will spend their days in the lab and in the field exploring technology and the natural world. Sessions will be led by Westminster faculty and assisted by Westminster students. Evening activities will include games, sports, arts, hanging out with new friends, and MORE SCIENCE.

Campers do not need to have an advanced understanding of science to attend, but they are expected to be excited and motivated to learn!

CSI CAMP 2017 @ Waynesburg University 

Waynesburg University’s 11th Annual CSI Camp will be held June 18 – 23, 2017.  Students will learn from certified experts in areas such as surveillance techniques, forensic science, canine workshops.
