Ignatian Leadership Speaker Series

Ignatian-Speaker-Series-Chris-Lowney
The teaching philosophy of Ignatian Spirituality asserts that God is present in our world and active in our lives. Ignatian Leadership is an ethical and moral compass that leads to deep prayer, good decisions guided by careful thought, and service to others.

As the only Ignatian/Jesuit based high school education in Western PA, it is the goal of Bishop Canevin to educate the Bishop Canevin community and friends throughout the Pittsburgh region on this topic. The Ignatian Leadership Speaker Series features seminars by key leaders around the world who provide insight on various topics relating to Servant Leadership and Ignatian Spirituality.

Testimonials:

“Chris Lowney conveyed simple and practical advice for effective and lasting leadership for any organization. Thanks to Bishop Canevin for filling a significant void in Pittsburgh with its Ignatian Spiritual Leadership Speaker Seminars.” John B. Joyce, Esq., Partner, Grenen & Birsic, P.C.

“Simply put … It was a morning well spent. I am a Christian who is a Protestant and I loved the event.” – Donny Parker, Pittsburgh City Director, Christian Leadership Concepts

“As a faith-based learning institution entrusted with the young minds, hearts and spirits of its students, Bishop Canevin casts a bright and ever-shining light on the importance of “servant leadership” mentoring. And the presentation by Chris Lowney speaks to the mission of the institution. There were several Bishop Canevin students present at the event who engaged in actively listening to the presentation by Chris. And the topic of “Pope Francis: Why He leads the Way He Leads” directly connects to the challenges of “living” everyday with spiritual purpose – i.e., servant leadership. It was a privilege to have been a participant at this event. I came into the event uncertain and left guided. Thank-you” – Annette Fetchko, Administrator, Catholic Charities Free Health Care Center
