Advanced Placement Chemistry is designed for those students who wish to complete college level coursework in Chemistry while in high school. This course is the equivalent of a first year college chemistry class and is recommended for prospective science and pre-med majors. Topics include stoichiometry, thermodynamics, molarity, gases and kinetic theory, and chemical equilibrium. The laboratory experience is a major component of the course. Students who register for this course are required to take the AP Chemistry examination in May (approximate cost $100).
