Tuition Policies

  1. Enrollment in the FACTS program for tuition payment is mandatory for ALL families. (All families must register with FACTS online as soon as possible in order to be current with payment plans). Please note that your first tuition payment is due in July. There will be a late fee charge of $45 per month applied to your FACTS account if your payment becomes past due.

  2. Families are strongly encouraged to set up the FACTS checking account (or credit card) automatic debit option. It is mandatory for all new families to select automatic debit or credit as the method of tuition payment. Any family who falls behind in tuition will be required to establish auto pay.

  3. Any family who owes tuition from the current year must be paid in full prior to the start of the new school year in order to receive a class schedule.

FACTS Financial Aid Application

Roughly 70% of Bishop Canevin families receive need-based financial assistance. Information regarding the application process and eligibility criteria can be found below.

Bishop Canevin utilizes FACTS Management, an independent Financial Aid Vendor, to assess family financial need. This secure application serves for funds through the EITC and OSTC programs, Bishop Canevin School Aid, as well as several scholarships that require a determination of family financial need.

Applications are due by March 15, 2024. Families who apply by this date will receive their financial package in April/May.

All applicants must first create a FACTS account, select “2024-2025 Application Year”, and then select Bishop Canevin High School as your Institution. Click the FACTS button below to begin the application process.

Families seeking financial assistance to help with the cost of tuition must apply each year.

EITC/OSTC Programs

Many families are eligible to receive assistance through EITC and OSTC programs. Eligibility criteria and additional details are provided below. The FACTS Financial Aid Application must be submitted in order to be considered for these programs.

Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) Program:

Monies are ear-marked from PA state taxes that are “re-directed” from PA corporations or PA residents who designate Bishop Canevin to receive a portion/all of their PA State tax liability.

Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit (OSTC) Program:

Grants from OSTC funds require children to be assigned to an “under-performing public school” as defined by the PA Department of Education.
