The Bishop Canevin Fund is the school's most important and ongoing fundraising effort and plays an essential role in offering the young men and women of Bishop Canevin the best possible education in the best possible facilities. While tuition revenue covers a major portion of the school's operations, it does no cover 100%. The Bishop Canevin Fund helps bridge the gap between tuition revenue and the increasing cost of operating the school.
In addition, an annual donation to the Bishop Canevin Fund provides critical support to the school's financial aid program. The generosity of alumni, parents, and friends makes it possible for eligible students to have the benefit of a Bishop Canevin education regardless of financial circumstances.
Support of the Bishop Canevin Fund ensures that Bishop Canevin's education continues its legacy of an exceptional learning experience that encourages each student to enrich their faith, explore opportunities, and exceed expectations.
Qualified contributors to the Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program earn a 90% state tax credit while directing their contribution to Bishop Canevin High School for scholarships.
Originally limited to businesses, the program expanded in 2014 to allow qualified individuals to also take part in the program. Every year, scores of business and individuals enjoy EITC tax benefits while helping students who would not otherwise be able to afford a Catholic education.

The Young Professional Society is an introduction to supporting the Bishop Canevin Fund at a leadership level. Inspired by the Loyola Society, whose members donate at the leadership level of $1,000 or more, the Young Professionals Society is designed for alumni between the ages of 35 to 45. Members of this society pledge to make annual gifts to the Bishop Canevin Fund of $500 for three consecutive years, during which time they are invited to the annual leadership donor recognition dinner for Loyola Society members. After the third year, Young Professional Society members join the Loyola Society by making annual gifts of $1,000 or more to the Bishop Canevin Fund. Members of the Young Professionals Society have the unique opportunity to connect and network with alumni who generously lend their financial support so that Bishop Canevin's tradition of excellence continues for the future generations of Crusaders.
