The Bishop Canevin Museum and Hall of Fame is a living museum – dedicated to the first class of graduates through the present day. Located on the campus, one of the classrooms has been converted into a mini “original” classroom from 1959, complete with a mannequin wearing the original uniform worn by the female students when the school first opened. Other mementos include a complete set of yearbooks, copies of all the published Leonid newspapers and Oracle Literary Magazines, newsletters and programs, trophies, display cases of class shirts, team uniforms, recorded Canevin choral albums, glassware, and more – even an American Girl doll dressed like a Crusette. Come visit, reminisce and be grateful for the education, the community spirit, and the BC pride that is evident in this museum. Open during school hours. Bishop Canevin’s museum is a proud affiliate of the Heinz History Center of Pittsburgh and the Smithsonian.
The museum is still accepting alumni mementos from all class years and/or monetary donations. Contact Mrs. Charlotte Smith at smithc@bishopcanevin.org for more information.
