Physics is an algebra based course that covers the following topics: motion, vectors, forces, work, energy, power, momentum and basic circuits. Students learn physics concepts and problem solving techniques in each unit. In addition, they spend approximately 25% of their class time in lab, reinforcing concepts through hands on activities designed to both increase their interest in the subject matter and provide meaningful applications of physics concepts to the real world. Students will write a minimum of one lab report each semester and one research paper/presentation per school year.
