This course is designed to enable students to learn how society develops and, more importantly, why there are differences in societies on the planet. The course studies the norms, values and customs that make up the United States society. It looks at their role in the society and shows why the citizens of the United States act in the way they do. It also shows how the country and Americans interact and view citizens of other societies. This course must be taken in conjunction with Introduction to Psychology (341).
