Please consider making a prayer request to the Bishop Canevin Community. We pray every morning, in each class, and in the afternoon. We also have adoration on Mondays and mass on Fridays. For your prayer request, either big or small we will pray for them at the Friday mass by including them in our intentions.
Daily prayers are a way to put the school community in a mindset for the day that God is always by our side in our actions and words. This year, during Black History Month in February and Women’s History Month in March, Mrs. Smith added additional information each day about an inspirational historic person (living or dead) who the students could learn from. We all pray together daily in our classroom to start our morning and then say the Pledge of Allegiance, followed by listening to the morning announcements from BCTV.
Students, when properly trained, may volunteer to serve as Eucharistic ministers during our school masses. It is another way to be involved in the liturgy by helping to distribute the host at Communion time.
Students have the opportunity to be readers of the Epistle and the Prayers of the Faithful at our school masses.
Students have the opportunity to serve during our school-wide Masses throughout the year.
