As a Bishop Canevin student from 1994 to 1998, Brian Catanzarite’s dedication and leadership were evident in his roles as captain of the soccer team, editor-in-chief of the Leonid, cast member in the musicals, and member of the National Honor Society. Bishop Canevin laid the foundation for his continued dedication to serving others. Brian’s pursuit of service extended to his time at John Carroll University, Duquesne University’s School of Law, and his 16-year legal career as a Deputy District Attorney in Allegheny County. Brian was recently appointed as a supervisor of the District Attorney’s Homicide Unit. Recognized for his efforts in high-profile prosecutions, Brian’s commitment to justice shines through his membership in the Allegheny County Bar Association, where he actively contributes to the Criminal Litigation Section and serves on the Judiciary Committee. Furthermore, his service on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court’s Procedural Rules Committee reflects his dedication to upholding fairness and integrity in the legal system. Since September 2021, Brian has brought his extensive experience and unwavering commitment to his role as a board member, ensuring the continued success of Bishop Canevin High School.
