Ever since I was a young student at St. Mary’s of the Assumption Catholic Grade School in Glenshaw I have always been very passionate about history, politics, and learning about other cultures. I pursued my passion at Penn State University where I earned undergraduate degrees in both History and Political Science. It was not until I accepted a volunteer teaching job after college in Hartford, CT through AmeriCorps that I truly found my vocation—teaching. My three years of teaching Middle School Social Studies lead me to pursue a career in education. I returned home in 2011 and enrolled in the University of Pittsburgh’s MAT Program while student teaching at Fox Chapel Area High School. In the summer of 2012, I was given the opportunity to become a member of the Bishop Canevin faculty and community. During my eleven years at Bishop Canevin, I feel blessed to work with such a great faculty, staff, community of families, and most of all, a great community of students.
