This course is an accelerated one with a chronological overview of major British periods and works, from Beowulf and Shakespeare to modern day — all identifying the Classics. Writing assignments include essays and a research paper. Advanced verbal and written communication skills are expected. Students selected for this course should be prepared for extensive reading, writing and effective critical thinking, and be proficient in organization, interpretation, analysis and research.

PREREQUISITE: JR English, 93% in Level 4 or 96% in Level 3
