This course focuses on the history and cultures of a number of regions including: East Asia, South Asia, South East Asia and South West Asia (the Middle East). Both traditional and modern socio-cultural patterns will be studied. Emphasis will be placed on understanding the cause and effect relationship between governments’ economics. The geography of each region or country is covered in depth. Students are expected to read, analyze and interpret material. There will be project required each quarter.
PREREQUISITE: ‘C’ average in U.S.History III(328/329) or passing grade in Psych/Soc (341/342)
