This accelerated math course is designed for those students who have been exposed to Algebra I in elementary school, but have not yet mastered the subject sufficiently to move on to Honors Algebra II. Topics presented include evaluating algebraic expressions, solving linear equations, functions, operations with polynomials, operations with algebraic fractions, solving quadratic equations, ratios and proportions, integral exponents, equations in two variables, slope, and systems of equations. Applications are emphasized throughout the course. Topics are presented in more depth at this level.
