AP Physics C – Mechanics is a rigorous course, equivalent to a first semester college physics course with calculus, This course will develop student’s deep understanding of physics concepts of motion, energy and momentum and calculus and trigonometry will be used to solve problems. Approximately 25% of class time will be spent in the lab. The AP Physics C – Mechanics exam will be required at the end of the course (approximately a $100 cost). This class must be taken concurrently with calculus.

Students may take this class as a first year physics class with the following pre-requisite: 90% in Honors Chemistry and a 90% in Honors Trigonometry/PreCalculus. Or they can join the class for the second semester if they have already taken Honors Physics with the following pre-requisite: 90% in Honors Physics and a 90% in Honors Trigonometry/Precalculus.
