Background

David Jakielo, a 2001 graduate of Bishop Canevin High School, served in the school’s Office of Development & Alumni Relations, 2005-2011, and has been a member of the school’s Board of Directors since 2017.

 

He currently works as a Client Solutions Consultant for Ruffalo Noel Levitz ScaleFunder, a leading provider of technology-enabled solutions and services for fundraising in the higher education and nonprofit communities.

 

David provides strategic support and consultation to RNL digital giving partners across the country, maximizing their success with crowdfunding, giving days, and digital giving solutions, including peer-to-peer fundraising efforts, leadership match and challenge gifts, personal education fundraising, and digital campaign best practices.

 

Prior to RNL, David most recently served as director of annual giving at Duquesne University. He began at the University in 2011, serving in leadership roles in marketing and communications as well as advancement. He launched Duquesne’s digital fundraising program, including record-setting giving days and crowdfunding. An avid sports fan, David also has been a member of the Bucco Brigade for the Pittsburgh Pirates.

 

He holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Duquesne University, along with a master’s in media arts and technology.
