Mr. Milharcic comes to Bishop Canevin with an extensive background in nonprofit management. He most recently was the Executive Director of Community Options, an organization devoted to housing and employment opportunities for adults with disabilities. Prior to Community Options, he was the Executive Director of The Woodlands Foundation, an organization dedicated to enriching the lives of children and adults with disabilities.
Joe had a long career, spanning 15 years, with the Boy Scouts of America in three different cities, Indianapolis, Columbus, and Pittsburgh, where he served as BSA’s Chief Operating Officer. It was during these formative years in his career where he learned the value of working with dedicated volunteers in the advancement of an organization.
“I am excited and humbled to have been chosen to join the team at Bishop Canevin. It is evident that God has bestowed many graces upon this school and I can’t wait to get started and see what I, along with the board and administration can do to further the mission.”
Joe is very involved in his faith community and very proud to have attended Roncalli High School, a Catholic school in Indianapolis, as well as earning his Bachelor’s degree from Purdue University. Joe and his wife Heather have two children, Addison, 13, and CJ,11. They live in South Fayette Township and are members of Corpus Christi Parish. Half of the family cheers on the Steelers on Sundays and the other half the Colts and all have a love of all things Purdue!
