"There is truly no question that Bishop Canevin played an integral part in where I am professionally and where I'm heading. The strong Catholic and liberal education I received from Bishop Canevin pointed me in the right direction."

100 Day Campaign – November 2 – February 9From November 2nd through February 9, 2016, BC’s Annual Giving Fund Campaign is taking place to raise $100K in 100 days. 100 percent of BC faculty, staff, and administrators have already given to this year’s Annual Giving Fund. The more support from BC employees, parents, and alumni, the more likely BC will receive grants from community foundations. Join us in earning 100 percent participation in the Annual Giving Fund. Our rigorous academics, Jesuit-inspired education, outstanding teachers, and enduring mission provide students with a solid foundation to further their education. However, tuition alone does not cover the cost of a BC education. Therefore, our school relies on voluntary support through our Annual Giving Fund, which bridges the gap between tuition income and operating expenses. 8th Grade High School Placement & Scholarship Test for all prospective 9th grade BC students
Sunday, November 22, 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
On Sunday, November 22, our doors will open at 12:30 p.m for our 8th Grade High School Placement and Scholarship Test for all prospective 9th grade BC students. The test runs from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. Exam scores are used to assist in determining 9th grade course placement and eligibility for Bishop Canevin High School academic scholarships. An FAQ information session will take place from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. (for parents interested in attending during placement testing). Parents are invited to gather in our library while the students take the exam. Administrators will be available to answer questions related to admissions, financial aid, and the transition to high school. Also, our BC Crusader Spirit Shop will be open from 1:00 – 1:30 p.m. to allow parents the opportunity to shop for Christmas gifts for your “almost high school” student, friends, and family. Contact Vera Dagnall, guidance office secretary, at 412.922.7400 x224 for Placement Test registration. The $10.00 exam fee is payable at the door.
Bishop Canevin #GivingTuesday
Black Friday and Cyber Monday kick off the Christmas shopping season, while #GivingTuesday celebrates and encourages charitable activities that support nonprofit organizations, including Bishop Canevin High School. Our Board of Directors is challenging our community to raise $30,000 in a 24-hour period on #GivingTuesday–December 1st. If we as a community reach this goal, the BCHS Board will donate an additional $20,000. All proceeds go to BC’s Annual Giving Fund to help keep an investment in a Bishop Canevin education affordable for our students and their families. Gifts can be made online, make a pledge, walk-in (postmarked on or before Dec. 1), cash, check, credit card, by email or by phone at 412.922.7400 ext. 220 (Katie Macioce) or ext. 215 (Sheflynn Strub). And, if you’re employed, see how easy it can be to “double your donation” by clicking this link to see if your company will match your generosity! Please help us build our culture of philanthropy by giving to BC’s Annual Giving Fund on December 1st #BCHSGivingTuesday

"There's no doubt in my mind that Bishop Canevin instilled in me a firm foundation and belief system in family values, discipline and integrity which helped me excel in college, my profession and lead a full and happy life. Integrity is the most important thing in my profession - as it should be in all professions - and I am forever grateful to Canevin for helping me recognize that fact at an early age."
